1) Charge your battery! This app uses your phone’s GPS which will drain your battery quickly. Take an extra battery or charger just in case.

2) Take your best headphones or earbuds. The better it sounds, the more you’ll enjoy it.

3) Familiarize yourself with the app features: 

• Listen to the first “Chapter” of the tour (How It Works).
• NOTE: DO NOT HIT THE BACK BUTTON. Starting in Chapter 2, when you hit Play, photos should appear on your phone in full screen (Slideshow mode). If you accidentally hit the “Back” button (which is easy to do), you will exit Slideshow mode. To get back into Slideshow mode and see the photos full screen, pause the tour and hit play again. Try this before you go so you understand the issue and how to fix it. It’s easy once you try it.

• If you previously downloaded the tour, check for updates. If there is an update, a small #1 will appear in the top right corner of your screen, next to the 3 small circles. Tap on the #1 to download the updated tour.

1) Display & Brightness: You’ll be looking at some photos along the way.

• Set “Brightness” to maximum. Makes it easier to see photos in the bright sun. 
• Turn off “Auto lock” (i-phone) or “Screen timeout” (Android). This will keep you from having to repeatedly unlock your phone.

2) Enable “Auto rotate”: Photos automatically rotate when you move between portrait and landscape.

3) Turn on “Airplane Mode” (if you’re not using Bluetooth headphones). Airplane mode will turn off your cell reception, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to save battery power and eliminate unwanted distractions. Or, turn off your wi-fi to save battery.

If you’re walking with a friend…

• Try to hit the play arrow at about the same time. Countdown “3-2-1 Play”
• Try to resist the temptation to talk to each other while the audio is playing. It’s a lot like talking during a good movie. Or worse, you might miss some directions and get lost!
